Refund Policy

Last updated: October 2026

At a glance

  • ₹200 books a phone consultation with a lawyer and a cost estimate.
  • Go ahead with the estimate and the ₹200 comes off your fees.
  • Decline the estimate, or we cannot take the matter: full refund.
  • We could not reach you: no refund, but the ₹200 stays as credit for 30 days; request a callback any time in that window.
  • Refunds go back to the paying UPI account within 7 working days of approval.
  • No GST is currently charged.

This policy covers the call fee you pay on the client portal and any professional fees you later agree to. The portal shows the amount before you pay and keeps an itemised statement afterwards.

01What the ₹200 call fee covers

When you request a callback at app.jurisoptima.com you pay a ₹200 call fee by UPI. It books a phone consultation with a lawyer from Jurisoptima Legal Chambers. On the call we understand your matter, explain what can be done and give you a cost estimate for the work.

Once you have paid, we call you between 9 AM and 9 PM IST, every day: within an hour for requests made between 9 AM and 8 PM, otherwise by 10 AM.

The fee pays for the consultation and the estimate. It is not a fee for legal advice on the merits or outcome of your matter, and it does not start any work. Work starts only after you accept a written estimate.

02Adjustment against your fees

If you go ahead with the estimate, the ₹200 is deducted from your fees. It appears as a credit on the money statement for your request, so you never pay it twice.

03Full refund

You get the full ₹200 back if you decline the estimate after the call. You do not need to give a reason.

You also get the full ₹200 back if we tell you we cannot take your matter, for example because of a conflict of interest, because the matter is outside our practice, or because it is before a court or authority we do not appear in.

04If we could not reach you

If we call at the promised time and cannot reach you, the ₹200 is not refunded. It stays with us as a credit for 30 days from the day we mark the request as unreachable, and the expiry date is shown on your request page.

Open the request in the portal and press Request a callback at any time within those 30 days. We call again at no extra cost. If the credit lapses and you believe the missed call was our mistake, write to us and we will look into it.

05Partial refunds

If you accept an estimate and pay for work that is then not completed, or is stopped early by you or by us, we refund the part of the fee that relates to work not done. Court fees, stamp duty and other amounts already paid to third parties on your behalf are not refundable.

Every charge, payment, credit and refund is itemised on the money statement for your request, so you can see exactly what was refunded and why.

06How and when we refund

Refunds are sent by UPI to the account the payment came from, within 7 working days of the refund being approved.

We record each refund, with its date and the transaction reference (UTR) where available, on your money statement and email you when it is recorded.

07Tracking a refund

Sign in at app.jurisoptima.com and open the request. The status header shows where the matter stands, the timeline shows our notes, and the money statement lists each refund with its amount and date.

08Taxes

No GST is currently charged on the call fee or on our professional fees. If this changes, the tax will be shown before you pay and included in any refund of that payment.

09Asking for a refund or raising a complaint

Email [email protected] from the address you sign in with and quote your reference code (it looks like JO-7K3QX). Our Grievance Officer, Samundeswari N, acknowledges every complaint within 48 hours and resolves it within 30 days.

You can also write to Jurisoptima Legal Chambers, 2nd Floor, RR Signature, Chokkanahalli, Bengaluru.

10Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The version published on this page when you make a payment applies to that payment.
